Concert Review: “Destiny” Reunites INFINITE & INSPIRITS In KL After 12 Years

After more than a decade, K-pop boy group INFINITE (인피니트) made a highly anticipated return to Kuala Lumpur, delivering an unforgettable night for Malaysian INSPIRITS. The legendary second-generation group brought their INFINITE Limited Edition 15th Anniversary Concert to Mega Star Arena KL over the weekend, marking a historic moment for both the members and their loyal fans.

Performing many of their greatest hits, including “Be Mine”, “The Eye”, and “Nothing’s Over”, the group gave us a night to remember. From powerful choreography to heartfelt interactions with fans, here are some of our favourite moments from the concert.

The concert opened with an electrifying start as the group performed “Last Romeo”, “Paradise”, and “The Eye”, instantly igniting the energy in the venue. Following this powerful opening, INFINITE took a moment to greet the crowd, expressing their gratitude for the unwavering support they had received despite their 12-year absence from Malaysia.

Woohyun (남우현) also addressed the absence of their leader, Kim Sunggyu (김성규), who was unable to attend due to the passing of his sister. In a heartfelt moment, he asked the audience to observe a moment of silence in her honour. Woohyun assured the crowd that Sunggyu would have wanted everyone to enjoy the concert to the fullest.

The show continued with high-energy performances of “Inception” and “Destiny”, further fuelling the excitement. As the night progressed, the members showcased their individual talents through a series of solo performances. Sungjong (이성종) kicked things off with a mesmerising rendition of “Monster Time”, followed by L (김명수) captivating the audience with “Shot”. Sungyeol (이성열) brought charm with “What’s Not to Love?”, while Woohyun delivered a heartfelt performance of “Kontrol”. Finally, Dongwoo (장동우) impressed fans with an emotional piano version of “True Love”.

One of the most unforgettable moments of the night came when INFINITE performed one of their biggest hits, “Be Mine”. The entire venue erupted as fans sang along in perfect harmony, creating a goosebump-inducing atmosphere. The energy remained high as they continued with “Can U Smile” and the fan-favourite “Nothing’s Over”, further fuelling the excitement.

Although the main setlist had come to an end, the night was far from over. Fans were treated to a special karaoke session, with lyrics displayed on the screen, allowing everyone to sing along. Shortly after, the group returned for a spectacular encore, performing four additional songs—”Beautiful”, “Entrust”, and “Cover Girl”, and before closing the night on a sentimental note with “White Confession”.

It was a night filled with nostalgia, joy, and pure love between INFINITE and their devoted INSPIRITS, making their return to Kuala Lumpur truly unforgettable. Spanning an impressive three hours, the concert featured a 25-song setlist, showcasing the group’s timeless hits and emotional performances. From start to finish, INFINITE proved why they remain one of K-pop’s most legendary groups, leaving fans with cherished memories that will last a lifetime. Were you there?
