Whether it’s our own birthday or somebody else’s, we always look forward to birthdays. Birthdays are very special occasions that everybody likes to enjoy heartily. When it comes to birthdays, animals also are no different from humans. At the end of the day, they also love being spoiled and surprised on their special days.
This absolutely endearing seal named Yulelogs is a rescued seal that lives in the Cornish Seal Sanctuary. A few days ago, Yulelogs turned 31. In celebration of his special day, his caretakers surprised him with a huge ice cake. The giant ice cake was full of fish. As expected, Yulelogs was overjoyed by this pleasant surprise, and these sweet pictures are proof that his day was indeed special!
Yulelogs has been rescued twice. For the first time, he was rescued in 1989 as a little pup. After several years, the marine park that rescued him had to close down. As a result, Yulelogs had to go back into the wild. Unfortunately, as a result of being in captivity for such a long time, Yulelogs had no idea how to feed himself. He has got too used to humans. The RSPCA was informed by people about the Yulelogs. He had been chasing people carrying buckets on the beach, thinking that they contained fish. Therefore, Yulelogs was rescued for the second time by the RSPCA.
When he was rescued for the second time, his weight was only 60 kg, rather than the standard 250 kg. Since it was obvious that he required to be taken care of, the Cornish Seal Sanctuary was asked if they could provide a permanent home to Yulelogs. In the present, the 31-hear-old adorable seed is happy, healthy, and energetic. It’s no surprise everyone at the sanctuary adores the lovable seal.
What makes his 31st birthday even more special is that usually in the wild, male grey seals usually live around 25 years. Therefore, his 31st birthday is a great milestone for Yulelogs.
